Division of Neurology at Children’s Medical Center is a referral center for diagnosis and treatment of patients with difficult-to-treat epilepsies especially genetic epilepsy syndromes, neurodegenerative and neurometabolic disorders . Each year more than 20000 patients suffering from neurologic problems seek care at Division of Neurology at Children’s Medical Center. Our expert team provide care for children with disorders ranging from epilepsy, headache, pediatric stroke, different types of encephalitis, neuromuscular disorders, critical illness, acquired white matter diseases, leukodystrophies, acquired and hereditary ataxias .
The pediatric Epileptology program in Children’s Medical Center and Epilepsy Monitoring department specializes in diagnosis and treatment of neonates, infants, children and adolescents with seizures. We try hard to find out the reason and the best personalized treatment.
In Epilepsy Monitoring department at CMC, the child will undergo EEG monitoring and video surveillance. The video is linked to the EEG and the brain waves and the child’s behavior and movement can be compared.
Our patients will receive a multidisciplinary support from neurology physicians, neurosurgeon, and social worker.
